Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is 8-year-old Riley.

Here is Baypath’s description of Riley:

“Don’t let the word ‘senior’ fool you, Riley still has plenty of adventures ahead of him! This handsome gentleman loves going for walks, exploring new places, and spending time with his favorite people. He’s also a social butterfly with other dogs and has made several doggy pals during his time at Baypath.

“Riley loves joining volunteers on field trips, whether it’s exploring the trails at Ashland State Park, strolling through Lowe’s or heading out on other adventures. He happily greets new people, soaks up all the attention he can get, rides beautifully in the car and approaches new experiences with curiosity and confidence.

“Riley already knows ‘sit’ and ‘paw,’ is highly food motivated and enjoys learning new things. Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy, an errand companion or a dog who’s happy to curl up beside you after a day of exploring, Riley is ready to be by your side.
