Arts Residency-Jones

Marisa Jones wears a lot of hats in the theater world. She is the associate director of education and practical learning at the Huntington Theatre Company, a professor at Emerson College and a performing arts coordinator at Roxbury Community College. Jones is most proud of her work at RCC, helping to advise a nationally recognized action and choreography club. “There’s an incredible amount of talent in that community,” said Jones. A lifelong performer and theater educator, Jones said she enjoys live theater for how it creates unique experiences one audience at a time. “It’s just a wonderful thing to be able to be in community with others,” she added.

The Arts Residency, sponsored by realtor Alan Connell, is a regular Hopkinton Independent feature. Every other week, Hopkinton Independent staff selects an individual to highlight following consultation with leaders in the local arts community.
