Kathleen Kimura

Kathleen M. Kimura, 63, of Hopkinton passed away on Aug. 28, 2026. Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Lois (Hauser) and Robert Testa. She was the wife of 34 years to Alan Kimura.

Kathy and Alan met while working together in Pearl River, New York. Kathy enjoyed gardening and crafts and loved to travel. When her children were young, she often could be found watching their sports and other activities, always there to support them and cheer them on.

In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by two children, Christopher Kimura and wife Yumiko, and Lauren Kimura. She also leaves her grandson, Dan; her siblings, Robert Testa and wife Terri, Steve Testa, Lynn Polite and husband Edward, and Laurie Iezzi and husband Michael; her brother-in-law, Brian Kimura and wife Amy; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being held privately with family and are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton.

Obituaries are submissions, typically from funeral homes, that are not subject to the same level of editorial oversight as the rest of the Hopkinton Independent. Obituaries may be edited for grammatical and factual mistakes and clarifications and shortened for space considerations.
