Sheila Szczypinski
Mrs. Sheila Ann (Bradley) Szczypinski, 86, of Hopkinton and formerly of Medway and Milford, died Sept. 30, 2026, at Golden Pond Assisted Living in Hopkinton. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Szczypinski, who died in 1996.
Sheila was born in Lowell, the daughter of the late Joseph Bradley and the late Dorothy E. (Page) Bradley. She attended public schools in Lowell, graduating from Lowell High School, class of 1958.
Sheila was first employed as a young woman and mother working in the cookie factory in Lowell. She then was employed as a waitress working at Russo’s Italian Restaurant, also in Lowell. Following that, she was employed as a personal banker at Berkshire County Savings Bank in Pittsfield. But her most rewarding and most successful job was working as a real estate agent in Milford at the former Dallamora Realty, which later became RE/Max Realty and then Hammond Realty, from which she retired.
Sheila continued her community involvement by volunteering at the Milford Regional Hospital. She loved going on shopping trips and going out to dinner with a nice glass of wine. But her favorite pastime was spending time with her family members and her best friends.
Sheila is survived by her three children, Lisa M. Szczypinski of Colorado, David S. Szczypinski and wife Stacey of Milford, and John P. Szczypinski and lifetime partner Maureen Lapp of Hopedale; her two granddaughters, Tesha Szczypinski and fiancé Brian Hetherman of Grafton, and Madeline Szczypinski of Grafton; her two sisters, Janice Bradley of Georgia and Judy Bradley of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Sheila was the sister of the late Patricia Mitchell.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. A private graveside committal service will be held at Gibson Cemetery in Pelham, New Hampshire, at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home in Milford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 93 Worcester Street, Wellesley, MA 02481.
