Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.

For the first time since the beginning of the Hopkinton High School golf program, the Hillers will not have Dick Bliss as coach when the 2020 campaign begins. Bill Phaneuf is taking the reins after Bliss guided the team to multiple state titles and sent players to the professional ranks.

Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh emailed school families with a reminder that the first window to make a request for a change in students’ learning models opened Tuesday and closes Thursday at 5 p.m. This is one of only two windows during which a request can be made for a change from hybrid to remote or vice versa.

The Hopkinton Police Department announced a new program by the MED-Project (Medication Education & Disposal) allowing residents to properly dispose of prescription drugs by requesting a free, prepaid mail-back envelope sent directly to their home.

The town’s monthly Veterans Breakfast will return this Friday, for the first time since the pandemic started, but it will be held outside at the Town Common (weather permitting) with social distancing. The event is limited to 50 people.

Our latest Business Profile features FIX IT! home service repair company, about which owner Nestor Lopez says, “This is not a regular handyman service.”

Photo of the Day: This new patient room at Hopkinton Chiropractic has a homey feel. The business has been forced to adjust — sharing space with neighboring Body Restoration — following last Sunday’s fire at the 17 Main St. building, and will reopen today with a new schedule.
