Sousa marries Kirkwood

by | Oct 9, 2020 | Featured

Katie Sousa wedding

Katelyn Sarah Sousa and Connor William Kirkwood were married at Lakefalls Lodge in Stoddard, New Hampshire on Sept. 6. The wedding was officiated by Leonard Layne and followed by a reception at the lodge.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sousa of Hopkinton, while the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kirkwood of Wayland.

The bride, 27, went to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for her bachelor’s degree in UI/UX and master’s degree in IT. The groom, 26, went to Westfield State University for his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He continued on to join the U.S. Marine Corps and currently is enlisted in the reserves. It was a mutual attraction at first sight when the couple met playing a game of Magic the Gathering at a local game shop. Their attraction grew to a deep and abiding love, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The couple honeymooned in Tahiti and are looking forward to starting their married lives together along with their fur babies, Maia and Kekoa.
