ARRESTS

January 1
5:58 a.m. On DiCarlo Road, Officer Robert Ekross arrested a 61-year-old Upton resident and charged him with miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation, number plate violation and OUI liquor. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officers Augusto Diaz and Cody Normandin assisted, and a tow truck removed the vehicle and trailer.

12:49 a.m. Officer Alexander Stewart checked on a motor vehicle on Main Street and moved the driver along.
2:48 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik made checks of Parkwood Drive.
10:57 a.m. Sergeant Matthew McNeil assisted the DPW on East Main Street.
11:23 a.m. Officer Sean McKeon checked on the LNG plant on Wilson Street.
1:03 p.m. Officer Sean McKeon took a report of fraud on Front Street.
1:15 p.m. A walk-in reported a case of fraud. Officer Sean McKeon took a report.
2:26 p.m. A caller reported youths playing on the ice off West Main Street. Officer Tyler Staback checked on the youths. All was OK.
3:24 p.m. Officers Robert Ekross and Augusto Diaz responded to a motor vehicle accident on Cedar Street and took a crash report.

December 28
12:10 a.m. Officer Alexander Stewart made checks of Sandy Beach on Lakeshore Drive.
1:13 a.m. Officer Alexander Stewart checked on Pratt Way property.
3:35 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle struck a deer on South Street. Officer Alexander Stewart responded and took a crash report.
11:17 a.m. Sergeants William Burchard and Aaron O’Neil and Officer Tyler Staback completed community relations on Winter Street.
6:37 p.m. Sergeant William Burchard made checks of the LNG plant on Wilson Street.
8:41 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour made checks of Fruit Street property.
8:50 p.m. Sergeant William Burchard and Officer Alexander Stewart assisted the Ashland Police Department in searching for a vehicle that failed to stop on Clinton Street.
9:33 p.m. Officer Alexander Stewart made checks of Main Street buildings.
11:45 p.m. A caller reported illegal dumping on Main Street. Officer Alexander Stewart responded and found the offending party’s name in the trash. A report was to follow.

December 29
12:14 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield checked on a vehicle on Wood Street.
12:59 a.m. Officer Brennan Grimley checked on South Street property.
1:03 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield issued a parking ban citation on Church Street.
1:35 a.m. Officer Alexander Stewart issued a parking ban citation on Teresa Road.
8:29 a.m. An assistant principal reported a student received threats. Officers Matthew LaTour and Alexander Stewart assisted.
9:18 a.m. Officer Shannon Beloin found fallen wires on trees on Cedar Street and notified Eversource.
12:55 p.m. A frequent caller reported someone was watching her accounts, and she wanted the incident logged.
2:55 p.m. A caller reported a strange encounter with a delivery driver. Office Matthew LaTour assisted and took a report.
3:57 p.m. Sergeant William Burchard reported a dog running in the roadway of Main Street.
4:03 p.m. A walk-in reported he was scammed by a contractor. Officer Alexander Stewart took a report.
8:49 p.m. Sergeant William Burchard assisted a Walcott Valley Drive resident.
8:53 p.m. Officer Alexander Stewart checked on the LNG plant on Wilson Street.
9:35 p.m. Sergeant William Burchard and Officer Alexander Stewart assisted the Fire Department on Clinton Street.

December 30
12:42 a.m. Officer Alexander Stewart made checks of South Street property.
12:44 a.m. Officer Brennan Grimley checked on the former Center School on Ash Street and found lights on inside. No car was around and the building was secure. Officer Grimley reported the lights must have been accidentally left on.
1:40 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield made checks of Hayden Rowe Street property.
2:04 a.m. Officer Brennan Grimley issued a parking ban citation on Fenton Street.
2:34 a.m. Officer Brennan Grimley reported three large dogs loose on Cedar Street Extension. When he went to check their tags, the dogs went to a backyard.
10:07 a.m. A walk-in handed in fireworks that she found. Officer Matthew Santoro assisted.
11:11 a.m. A caller reported a motor vehicle accident involving two cars on South Street. Office Matthew LaTour responded and reported no personal injuries.
1:39 p.m. A caller reported two men hunting on North Street. Officer Shannon Beloin responded and spoke with one individual, who was locked out of his car and was waiting for his girlfriend. Police assistance was declined.
2:18 p.m. A caller reported a motor vehicle accident involving two cars and no personal injuries on West Main Street. Officer Matthew Santoro responded and took a crash report.
3:19 p.m. A Sterling Drive resident reported a man in camouflage walked up her driveway and into the woods without receiving permission to hunt on her property. Officer Robert Ekross responded and spoke with the caller and was unable to locate the hunter.
4:51 p.m. A Winter Street caller reported a neighbor may have an illegal burn. Officer Sean McKeon responded along with the Fire Department, and a small cooking fire within regulations was discovered.
6:46 p.m. A Saddle Hill Road resident reported a suspicious male in a black hoodie approached his residence while an older male was in a dark-colored truck. Sergeant Matthew McNeil and Officers Sean McKeon, Robert Ekross and Augusto Diaz responded. The men were gone upon their arrival.
7:37 p.m. Officer Sean McKeon made checks of the Fruit Street fields.
8:53 p.m. Officers Robert Ekross and Augusto Diaz assisted a sixth-grader who reported being bullied by several other students. The students involved have claimed the statement was false. A report was to follow.
11:44 p.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield made checks of Hayden Rowe Street property.

December 31
1:21 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious group of kids walking around on Sanctuary Lane. Sergeant Arthur Schofield and Officer Nicholas Saletnik responded and checked the area with a negative find.
2:16 a.m. Officer Brennan Grimley reported finding a bike on the side of the roadway on Greenwood Road, and he moved it over.
2:53 a.m. Officer Brennan Grimley made checks of Lakeshore Drive property.
7:55 a.m. Officer Shannon Beloin checked on Wilson Street property.
12:21 p.m. Sergeant Matthew McNeil assisted a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street. Officer Shannon Beloin transported the driver to Cumberland Farms.
2:08 p.m. A Summit Way resident reported suspicious activity in his neighborhood. Officer Shannon Beloin informed the caller of a solicitor in the area.
5:10 p.m. Sergeant Matthew McNeil assisted a disabled motor vehicle on Interstate 495 and stood by while a tow truck responded.
5:39 p.m. A caller reported she realized that she left her wallet at an Alltown Fresh gas pump on West Main Street, and when she returned for it, it was gone. She asked if a manager could look at camera footage and was told no but that she could return the following day. The incident was logged.
7:34 p.m. An Edge Hill Road caller reported someone banged on his front door, and when he went to answer it, nobody was there and no vehicles were in sight. The caller was concerned due to recent activity in his neighborhood. Officers Robert Ekross and Augusto Diaz responded and checked the area with a negative find.
10:01 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour checked on Pratt Way property.
11:42 p.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik checked on a motor vehicle on West Main Street and moved the driver along.

January 1
2:37 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik checked on a vehicle partially parked in the roadway and checked the area.
3:08 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik checked on the sawmill on Fruit Street and found four vehicles all secure and unoccupied.
2:20 p.m. A West Main Street caller reported a new crack in the pole outside of his residence and stated he was afraid the pole will fall. Officer Sean McKeon responded and notified Verizon.
5:05 p.m. A caller reported hearing a girl scream for help on Church Street. Officers Robert Ekross, Cody Normandin and Augusto Diaz responded and checked the area with a negative find.
10:04 p.m. Officer Cody Normandin made checks of Main Street buildings.
11:48 p.m. Officer Alexander Stewart checked on Sandy Beach on Lakeshore Drive.

January 2
1:40 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik made checks of Hayden Rowe Street property.
10:16 a.m. A motorist reported a large pothole on Granite Street. Officer Tyler Staback responded and confirmed the pothole and contacted the DPW.
7:39 p.m. Officer Shannon Beloin checked on two vehicles on Hayden Rowe Street and sent the drivers on their way.
10:14 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officer Shannon Beloin checked on a group of kids on Ash Street and moved them along.
11:45 p.m. Officer Alexander Stewart checked on Wilson Street property.
