POLICE LOG

March 17

1:42 a.m. The Southborough Police Department advised Hopkinton to be on the lookout for a 21-year old on foot named Oscar who was possibly involved in a breaking and entering. Officer Brendon Lyver responded and checked all roads bordering Southborough with a negative find.

1:50 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield assisted another town department and checked on Davis Road housing.

11:01 a.m. Officer Jay Deiana responded along with the Fire Department to a fire alarm activation on Stagecoach Way. It was determined the alarm was set off due to construction workers on the property.

12:51 p.m. Officer Matthew Santoro responded to a motor vehicle accident on Cedar Street. No personal injuries were reported.

March 18

9:46 a.m. A Curtis Road resident complained that his neighbor’s dog had been outside barking for a couple of hours. Officer Jay Deiana responded and reported the dog was not outside and no one was home.

10:13 a.m. A Fruit Street caller reported his car was egged overnight and wanted the incident logged.

3:24 p.m. A walk-in handed in a wallet found on Hayden Rowe Street. The owner later picked up the wallet.

3:49 p.m. The Hopkinton Health Department requested all kids be removed from all town fields and courts, as they are closed. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officer Tyler Brabham subsequently cleared all school fields and courts of people.

5:45 p.m. A motorist reported an erratic operator on Hayden Rowe Street who was speeding and passing other vehicles. Officer Benjamin Stickney responded and stopped the vehicle and advised the operator of the complaints.

5:54 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officer Benjamin Stickney removed youths from courts and fields on Hayden Rowe Street.

9:41 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil checked on occupants in a motor vehicle parked on Hayden Rowe Street. They were to be on their way.

11:23 p.m. Officer Stephen Buckley spoke with and advised youths on Walcott Valley Drive.

March 19

8:10 a.m. A walk-in reported fallen wires on Cedar Street. Officers Philip Powers and Moira McGaffigan responded and notified Eversource.

10:40 a.m. A Hillcrest Drive caller reported she was seeing smoke and flames through the woods. Officers Jay Deiana and Ryan Polselli responded along with the Fire Department and reported an illegal burn. The fire was extinguished.

2:40 p.m. A walk-in handed in a phone found on Cedar Street.

4:24 p.m. A caller complained of an erratic operator speeding on Lumber Street. Sergeant William Burchard responded, and the vehicle was no longer in the area.

6:04 p.m. Sergeant William Burchard and Officer Preston Mucciarone responded to a request from the Winchester Police Department in locating a missing person believed to be traveling to Hopkinton. The person was located on Angels Way and Officer Preston Muccciarone stood by.

9:28 p.m. Officer Preston Mucciarone reported sparking wires on a pole on Wood Street. The Fire Department and Eversource responded.

March 20

1:17 p.m. A Dogwood Way resident reported being harassed by a man, who was following her. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officers Moira McGaffigan and Ryan Polselli responded. A report was to follow.

1:38 p.m. A caller reported a group of four men fighting and pushing a woman. The caller stated the female drove away and the group of men walked in to the woods. Sergeant Aaron O‘Neil and Officers Jay Deiana and Ryan Polselli responded and checked the area with a negative find. A report was to follow.

4:52 p.m. Sergeant William Burchard removed youths from the basketball court on Hayden Rowe Street.

7:14 p.m. A caller reported a golden colored dog loose on Ash Street. The animal control officer was notified.

March 21

1:29 p.m. A caller reported finding an area on Wood Street where a possible squatter had been living with possible stolen items. Officers Brian Sanchioni and Moira McGaffigan responded and located the items and took a report. Officer Sanchioni checked with a local business owner to ask if any property belonged to him.

6:32 p.m. Officer Tyler Brabham notified two youths on Hayden Rowe Street of the parking ban and moved them along.

7:36 p.m. An Elm Street caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Elm Street with its lights on. Officer Preston Mucciarone responded and reported a grocery delivery in progress.

March 22

12:03 a.m. Sergeant Arthur Schofield checked on a motor vehicle on West Main Street and advised the driver to move along.

8:11 a.m. A Hayden Rowe Street caller reported his neighbor’s house and car were egged. Officer Matthew Santoro responded.

10:20 a.m. A passerby reported people in closed town recreation areas on Hayden Rowe Street were in violation of social isolating procedure. Officer Matthew Santoro responded and removed the individuals.

1:13 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Frankland Road for the past two days. Officers Matthew Santoro and Moira McGaffigan responded and spoke with three people who were fishing. They were to be on their way.

2:23 p.m. A caller reported a possible illegal burn on Leonard Street. Officer Moira McGaffigan responded along with the Fire Department.

4:01 p.m. Officer Tyler Brabham removed parties from Hayden Rowe Street.

4:43 p.m. A caller reported finding a medium tan dog with an orange collar on Wood Street. The animal control officer was notified.
