ARRESTS

Oct. 3
1:40 a.m. Units stopped a vehicle on Hayden Rowe Street and conducted a field sobriety test. A 37-year-old man from Walpole was taken into custody and charged with using an electronic device while operating a motor vehicle, speeding at a rate of speed exceeding the posted limit and operating under the influence of liquor.
7:43 p.m. Officers conducted a field sobriety test on Main Street and took a 34-year-old man from Wrentham into custody. He was charged with a marked lanes violation and operating under the influence of liquor.

Oct. 4
1:47 p.m. A caller reported a crash with no personal injury on Revolutionary Way. Officer Matthew LaTour requested backup units upon responding to the scene after a party reported they had been threatened with a firearm. Officers took a 37-year-old Hopkinton man into custody and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon. The man reported difficulty breathing and chest pain, and possibly was experiencing a panic attack. He was taken to the hospital and later returned to HPD custody. HPD sergeants conducted a related search warrant to retrieve a firearm in Holliston at 9:28 p.m.

Sept. 30
8:47 a.m. Sgt. Arthur Schofield responded to a two-car crash on West Main Street. He provided a party courtesy transport to Cumberland Farms.
1:48 p.m. Officer Augusto Diaz Jr. took an incident report from a party reporting a prior hit and run.
2:38 p.m. Units assisted with two medium-sized dogs running in and out of the roadway on Spring Street.
4:00 p.m. Officers responded to a crash between a car and a bus with no personal injuries. They spoke with the parties, who exchanged papers.
5:19 p.m. Units checked on an injured turkey on Mayhew Court. Animal control was contacted and was to respond as soon as possible.
5:32 p.m. Dispatch logged a call regarding a party who lost his laptop while riding his motorcycle. He believed it fell out in the area of Hill Road and Fruit Street.
6:40 p.m. Officer Nicholas Walker checked on a Penske truck on a Main Street sidewalk. The driver, who was making a delivery, was all set.
8:29 p.m. A caller reported dogs barking on Paul Revere Path and was unsure if someone lost their pets. Officer Sean McKeon responded, found the dogs running off into the woods and determined they belonged on Wood Street.

Oct. 1
9:04 a.m. Officer Noah Buentello responded to a report of stolen property on South Street. An incident report was to follow.
11:01 a.m. A male party reported a paving company was blocking the end of Proctor Street without a detail officer. Units checked and found one truck in the road with space for cars to pass.
3:47 p.m. Officer Sean McKeon responded to a report of a car that got keyed on Hayden Rowe Street. A report was to follow.
5:05 p.m. Sgt. Shannon Beloin escorted a vehicle from South Street to urgent care.
5:25 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle driving on Wood Street with a wheel that had popped off. Officers responded, and the vehicle was towed.
5:53 p.m. A caller reported a road rage incident where a vehicle was following close on Grove Street and honking its horn. Units were tied up with another call, and no response was available.
8:31 p.m. Officer Justin Cappuccio assisted Hopkinton Fire with a report of a leaking water pipe on Exchange Street where water was following onto electrical wires.
10:19 p.m. Sgt. Shannon Beloin checked on a vehicle on Hayden Rowe Street. All checked out OK.

Oct. 2
10:30 a.m. A caller reported a truck lost its brakes on I-495 southbound. Massachusetts State Police were en route. Officer Nicholas Walker assisted and found the issue appeared to be a mechanical problem with a large car carrier. No response was needed from Hopkinton Fire.
10:51 a.m. A supervisor of a construction project on Fruit Street reported protesters were hanging signs on a bridge, causing a possible hazard. Units responded and found four protesters on a sidewalk within their rights to express their views. Sgt. Arthur Schofield advised the project manager of the situation.
10:57 a.m. A detail officer on Main Street reported a possible car crash. Officer Aline Matos responded and took a crash report.
12:05 p.m. Officers responded to Cedar Street following a call regarding a man in the woods with a knife acting strangely. The party exited the woods and spoke with officers, informing them he was collecting mussels.
2:55 p.m. Sgt. Shannon Beloin responded to a call about a tree branch on wires on Lumber Street. She checked the area and reported it was clear with no hazards.
2:55 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour responded to a call about a two-car crash on Hayden Rowe Street. A crash report was to follow.
4:34 p.m. Units issued a parking citation following a report of a vehicle with no placard in a handicapped spot on Hayden Rowe Street.
5:12 p.m. A caller reported parties yelling at each other and a car revving its engine on Granite Street. Officers responded and cleared the scene. A party reported frustration over a disabled bike.
5:36 p.m. Franklin Police informed the HPD that its lot was being used for an exchange for a use without authority. Officer Matthew LaTour cleared the scene, advising the parties to follow the arrangement and not get charged criminally.
8:14 p.m. Officers checked on a parked vehicle on South Street and conducted a field sobriety test on a party. The individual failed the test and was to get a ride. A responsible party took the car. An incident report was to follow.
11:30 p.m. Officer Lucille Creedon responded to a report of barking dogs on School Street. She was unable to make contact with a homeowner, and a voicemail was left.

Oct. 3
10:04 a.m. A caller reported an electrical box cover was damaged and wires were exposed at a Thayer Heights Road business. Officer Sean McKeon responded, and an Eversource ticket was created.
10:26 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker spoke with a driver after a caller reported a vehicle was operating erratically on West Main Street and almost hit several cars. The driver reported being confused at an intersection and was advised how to deal with it in the future.
1:15 p.m. A caller reported a dog panting in a vehicle on Pratt Way with all the windows up. Officers responded and reached the owner, who informed officers his wife was headed back to the car.
3:40 p.m. Officers took a report from a caller who reported a vehicle rear-ended her getting off the highway onto West Main Street and then took off.
10:24 p.m. A caller reported he woke up to screaming and yelling in the roadway on Nicholas Road. Officers checked the area and found teenagers returning home from a party at a neighboring house.
11:06 p.m. Milford Police called about an erratic vehicle that headed toward Hopkinton from I-495 in that town. Units checked the area, and the vehicle was gone on arrival.
11:25 p.m. A caller stated male parties were banging on the front glass door of the caller’s Frostpane Lane home. The individuals were captured on camera. According to the caller, the men lived across the way, and a similar incident occurred a few months ago. Units checked the area with a negative find. A report was to follow.

Oct. 4
12:03 a.m. Officer Jennifer Manning checked on a vehicle on Lakeshore Drive and found everything was OK. The party may have been having car trouble.
12:17 a.m. Stonehill College dispatch called looking to make contact with a parent of a minor in their care. Hopkinton dispatch was able to provide assistance.
2:12 a.m. Officer Lucille Creedon assisted Hopkinton Fire after a caller from Aspen Way reported their alarms were sounding but there was no smoke or fire. They were advised to evacuate the home, and HFD personnel were en route.
12:12 p.m. Units checked Spring Street after a caller reported an ongoing complaint of a barking dog. The owner was advised of the complaint, and a message was left for animal control.
2:31 p.m. A caller reported an erratic operator on Walker Street driving through town. All units were tied up. The vehicle’s information was obtained, and an officer was to follow up with the operator. The incident was logged.
5:46 p.m. Units responded to Ash Street for a report of screaming in the area. Officers determined the noise was from children playing.
9:32 p.m. Officers responded to College Street for a crash and requested Holliston Police send an additional unit. Holliston was canceled en route, and Milford Police arrived on scene. A personal tow service was on scene.
11:54 p.m. A caller stated heavy equipment was being used on Hayden Rowe Street and violating a noise ordinance. Officer Jennifer Manning checked the area with a negative find.

Oct. 5
8:35 a.m. A caller reported a disabled motor vehicle in a bad spot on West Main Street. Officer Lucille Creedon responded, and a tow truck was on scene.
11:58 a.m. Sgt. Cody Normandin spoke with and assisted a walk-in who requested to speak to someone regarding a stop sign.
6:11 p.m. Units conducted a check for a party on Lumber Street following a request from Mendon Police. The individual was not found.
7:16 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle was following too close on Legacy Farms North. Units checked the area, and the vehicle was gone on arrival.

Oct. 6
1:48 p.m. A walk-in reported he almost was hit in the crosswalk at an intersection. He requested the incident be logged.
9:04 p.m. Officer Nicholas Walker spoke with a driver on West Main Street who reported they were lost. They were moved along.
9:50 p.m. Units checked on a male party laying down on a basketball court on Hayden Rowe Street. Hopkinton Fire was requested for evaluation.
11:28 p.m. A party called to report his package was delivered to a Summer Street location, and he wanted to retrieve it. He was advised to go to the police station and await assistance from an officer. The party left the parking lot, and it was not clear if he went back to Summer Street.
11:55 p.m. Officer Lucille Creedon spoke with a party who reported a past crash on Chamberlain Street. A report was to follow.
