Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is 1-year-old Gracie.

Here is Baypath’s description of Gracie:

“Gracie girl knows just how to melt your heart. This sweet lady is quite shy and is looking for someone to show her what it’s like to have a loving home. Even though Gracie is nervous, it doesn’t stop her from coming up to you for chin scratches and treats. She warms up so quickly, especially with the help of a confident dog friend to show her that things aren’t so scary! She is excited to find a family who can teach her how fun leash walks are, and what exactly a squeaky toy is!”
