Baypath Adoptable Animal of the Week: Jake

Adoptable Animal-Jake

Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is 8-year-old Jake.

Here is Baypath’s description of Jake:

“After spending two long years waiting in a Florida shelter without anyone choosing him, Jake made the journey to New England for a fresh start — and we truly believe his family is here waiting for him.

“Jake is the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. He loves meeting new people, happily rides along as your copilot in the car, and enjoys the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or stretching out on the couch beside you, Jake is simply happiest being near his people. He’s affectionate, easygoing, fully house-trained and settles beautifully into home life.

“He recently took a trip into Boston and handled the busy city environment like a pro, taking in new sights and sounds with curiosity and confidence while staying connected to his person every step of the way.

“Jake does have some allergies and sensitive skin, which are currently being well managed with a prescription diet and medication. With that support in place, he’s feeling great and ready to focus on what matters most: finding a family of his own.

“Jake waited far too long to be noticed — but maybe that’s because his story was always meant to lead him here. Now all he needs is someone willing to give him the chance he’s been waiting for.

“Jake’s adoption fee is sponsored by Owala.”
