Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is 1-year-old Samuel.

Here is Baypath’s description of Samuel:

“Looking for a smart, energetic companion? Meet Samuel!

“This confident 1-year-old pup turns heads with his long, low frame and big personality.

“We suspect there’s some herding breed in his mix, and it shows. Samuel thrives on mental stimulation and would shine in training, agility or nose work. He’s not just looking for exercise, he’s looking for a job!

“Social and affectionate, Samuel loves people, rides well in the car, enjoys snuggles and is always up for a game or adventure. He likes doggy play dates but would prefer to be the only pet at home. No cats, please! Samuel wants to be your one-and-only!
