Weston Nurseries held its second annual Blooms, Brews and Barbeque event at its Garden Center Sept. 8. This has become an annual fundraiser for the Jimmy Fund Walk, which this year was held on Sept. 23. Craft beers, ciders, and various food trucks supplied the crowd with lots of choices. Weston Nurseries owner Peter Mezitt commented that there were a lot more children and dogs visiting this year. He added that he was hopeful that the event would garner more donations for the Jimmy Fund.
