Business Profile: Education Station now exclusively virtual

by | Apr 21, 2021 | Business, Featured

Education Station cofounders Christine Chapman and Sims Yun are excited to see how successfully participants have engaged and progressed in their learning through today’s more sophisticated technology.

“As a result of the pandemic, we pivoted our business model to being fully online and prioritized our services. We’ve been thrilled with the results,” stated Chapman. “Over the past year, families have seen that because we offer strong teachers, counselors and practitioners, their children are still receiving a quality product, and in many cases an even better product now.”

Through small-group tutoring in subject areas, personalized coaching and test preparation services, with an emphasis on study and organization methods, Education Station staff help students become empowered, more efficient and successful.

Education Station guides students through every stage of growth and development from early reading and mathematics skills to AP Bootcamps, ACT/SAT preparation, ACT/SAT Cram sessions, college admissions coaching, pre-college prep programs and career counseling.

“We’re here for our students and families in whatever way they need us,” Chapman remarked. “We also offer free services to college-bound students, providing support and guidance through the standardized test prep and college admissions process.”

Chapman noted an increase in families requesting a private, more personalized, one-on-one approach to learning, as well as private school placement assistance and graduate school placements through Education Station’s counseling services.

Staff are actively building an online, prerecorded course they hope to roll out this summer. This course will take college-bound students through the entire college process.

“Students will be able to work at their own pace,” Chapman explained. “For me, this is a dream come true. My mission has always been to bring greater access to this kind of advice and guidance.”

Even for those who purchase the prerecorded course, everyone will have access to a free intake meeting with Chapman. She prides herself in personally meeting every student and family serviced.
