People value the FIX IT! home service repair company because of owner Nestor Lopez, a professional who believes in providing exceptional service, high-quality work and outstanding customer service with every job.

“This is not a regular handyman service,” Lopez explained. “With more than 25 years’ experience as contractors, we know how to get a job done right the first time. We also stay in constant communication and stand behind the quality of our work, which is why we’ve extended our labor warranty to five years.”

With the latest technology, Lopez and his technicians communicate regularly with clients, updating homeowners with a convenient, auto-calculated arrival time.

“Our clients love this feature. It gives them a sense of safety and security, knowing exactly who’s coming to their appointment and when to expect our technicians,” he added.

During the pandemic, the FIX IT! team follows state and CDC health and safety guidelines, taking all necessary precautions by wearing masks, gloves and shoe booties and maintaining physical distancing.

“We’ve worn booties from day one,” Lopez added, “but we’re taking extra precautions to make sure our customers feel comfortable while we are in their home or on the property.”

The FIX IT! home repair service techs specialize in carpentry, interior home improvement projects and exterior work. Inside, staff install cabinets, shelves, crown molding and hardware; repair drywall and light fixtures; replace tiles and light bulbs; hang new doors and mount televisions. Outside, the team focuses on repairing all types of siding or trim, retrofitting decks, and repairing windows, doors and screens. A full list of services is available online.

There is a small dispatch fee to consult on a job ($22 in Metrowest), but that fee is reimbursed with any work approval. Once a dispatch call is booked, the homeowner receives a reminder email and a text prior to the appointment.

Quotes for small repairs are provided immediately, and if materials are available the job is performed right away. For bigger repairs, the quote is emailed within 24-48 hours and, upon client’s approval, scheduled for the team’s next available day. Payments now may be made online.

“Having a good relationship with each client is important to me,” Lopez added. “Our customers know how much we value them.”

Recently, Lopez and his team were certified as Aging-in-Place Specialists, and when on-site they are sensitive to the needs of the homeowner and family members.

“Folks may not want to think about aging, but it’s important to realize that even an accident in daily life can change your living circumstances. Perhaps doorways need to be widened to accommodate wheelchair access or doorknobs converted to a lever style for easier opening. These are things we can help with, too,” he said.

The FIX IT! promise to provide excellent service is measured by the company’s credibility and professionalism. That’s why the company’s motto is, “If we can’t fix it, you don’t pay us!”
