Facing staffing shortages in cafeteria, schools request students bring own lunches

by | Jan 4, 2022 |

The Hopkinton Public Schools Nutrition Department requested that parents/guardians pack lunches for students for the first two weeks in January if possible.

The department is facing staffing shortages, resulting in “too few employees to properly produce and serve hot meals for our students,” according to an announcement emailed to schools families Tuesday. A modified menu is available for students.

“We apologize for any inconvenience but thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while we navigate these incredibly difficult times,” the department wrote.
