Hopkinton High School psychology and history teacher Mike Hamilton recently was named winner of the Mary Margaret Moffett Memorial Teaching Excellence Award, which is presented by the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP).
In announcing the honor, the Hopkinton Public Schools described Hamilton as “incredibly dedicated, caring, talented and student-centered in his approach,” adding that he is a favorite amongst the students and well-respected by his peers.
Hamilton helped start the New England Teachers of Psychology conference held each summer at HHS for educators from around the country.
Hamilton, who is in his 14th year at HHS, will be recognized at the STP’s annual Conference on Teaching, to be held in Denver on Oct. 17-19.
