HHS Drama presents ‘Honk!’ Nov. 17-20

The Hopkinton High School Drama Ensemble will perform the musical “Honk!” at the HHS auditorium Nov. 17-20. Performances are Thursday, Nov. 17, at 4:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18-19, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 20, at 3 p.m.

Based on the Hans Christian Anderson story “The Ugly Duckling,” “Honk!” tells the story of a swan who is shunned for looking different than his family and goes on a journey of self-discovery.

Ahlstrom-Hall selected for honor ensemble

Hopkinton High School’s Jordyn Ahlstrom-Hall was one of just 540 high school musicians across the country and at military base schools overseas to be selected for the National Association for Music Education 2022 All-National Honor Ensembles. Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre and Dance student William Rock of Hopkinton will perform in the African Drumming and Dance Ensemble with school alumni as part of “IC on Broadway: South Hill State of Mind.” The Nov. 11 show, which takes place at the Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis in New York City’s Time Square, will feature vocalists, monologues, solo guitar and jazz band performances, as well as a music and dance composition collaboration.
