HHS Sports Roundup: Boys tennis knocks off Marblehead; boys lax, baseball to play Wednesday

The Hopkinton High School boys tennis team kept its season alive Monday with a 3-2 victory at fifth-seeded Marblehead on Monday in the Division 2 state tournament.

The 12-seeded Hillers (17-2) advance to the quarterfinals and a date with fourth-seeded Wayland (9-5). The date has yet to be announced.

Boys lacrosse, coming off Sunday’s 8-4 victory over Minnechaug, will play at Hingham on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. in the Division 2 tournament’s Round of 16. The second-seeded Harbormen (16-4) routed Dartmouth on Monday, 20-3. Hopkinton, the 15th seed, is 15-4.

The baseball team will host Dartmouth on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Division 2 Round of 16. Dartmouth advanced with a 6-2 victory over Mansfield on Monday. The Hillers, seeded sixth, are 18-4 after Saturday’s 4-1 win over Reading.
