HHS Sports Roundup: Girls lacrosse opens postseason with win

The Hopkinton High School girls lacrosse team opened postseason play Thursday with a 13-8 victory over visiting Quincy in a preliminary-round game.

HHS senior Jaymie Arena scored her 100th career goal in the game.

The Hillers (7-12), seeded 32nd in Division 1, next will play at top-seeded Lincoln-Sudbury on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Round of 32. …

Boys lacrosse, seeded 29th in Division 2, will play at fourth-seeded Longmeadow on Monday at 6 p.m. …

Boys tennis is scheduled to host 28th-seeded Longmeadow on Saturday at 2 p.m.
