HHS Sports Roundup: Swimming battles D-S; hockey teams fall

The Hopkinton High School swimming and diving teams competed against Dover-Sherborn on Saturday at Keefe Tech.

The girls dropped a 95-69 decision. Olivia Scalora won the 100 free and was part of the 200 freestyle relay squad that won a very close race.

The boys fell 89-73. Tyler Fallon pulled out a win in the 50 free and anchored the winning medley relay.

The HHS girls hockey co-op team fell to Ursuline, 6-4, on Saturday. Kelly Bailey and Sophia Mazzuchelli scored two goals apiece.

Also Saturday, boys hockey lost to Westwood, 7-1, with Charlie Purpura scoring the lone Hopkinton goal.

The boys indoor track and field team knocked off Westwood, 65-30, on Thursday night. Sean Golembiewski continued his stellar season with a first-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles. Neil Abraham (55 meters), Matt Burdulis (mile), Wyatt Ruff (600), Lex Kaye (2 mile) Russell Perryman (shot put) and Anshu Velur (long jump) also posted wins.
