HHS wrestlers shine at sectional meet, 7 Hillers advance to Div. 2 state championship

The Hopkinton High School wrestling team finished sixth at the Division 2 West sectional meet on Saturday at Northbridge High School.

Seven Hillers advanced to the Division 2 state championship: Caleb Newman (106 pounds), Adam Distasio (113), John Carlson (126), Jack Hoyt (132), Will Liptak (145), Jair Zaidi (195) and Justin Sokol (285).

The Division 2 meet will be held Friday at Milton High School.
