Hillers blanked in Thanksgiving Day game

by | Nov 26, 2021 | Sports

The Hopkinton High School football team closed out its season Thursday morning with a 43-0 loss at Ashland in the revival of the Thanksgiving Day rivalry.

After a scoreless first quarter, Ashland put up 15 points in the second period. The Clockers then scored 14 points in each of the third and fourth quarters to win going away.

Hopkinton ends its season — the first under coach Mark Sanborn — with a record of 3-8. Ashland lost only once — in the Division 4 quarterfinals.
