With rain in the forecast for Saturday, Hopkinton Family Day has been canceled.
The Friends of Hopkinton, the group that organizes the annual event, made the announcement Thursday night.
There are plans to bring back the event next year.
UPDATE: As part of its One Book, One Hopkinton program, the Hopkinton Public Library will host a performance by Kathak dancers on Saturday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The dancers were supposed to appear at Family Day.
