Hopkinton Scouting for Food event this Saturday

Hopkinton’s Scouts BSA troops, Girls Scouts and Cub Scouts are collecting food for the Project Just Because Hopkinton Food Pantry to help residents in need.

Residents can place items in plastic bags near their mailbox by 10 a.m. this Saturday (Nov. 11). Bags that are not picked up can be taken to Project Just Because at 77 South Street on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Items needed include Amazon gift cards, food store gift cards, juice bottles, gravy, cranberry sauce, dry/canned pasta, condiments, oils, canned vegetables, tomato products, children’s cereal, school snacks, granola bars, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, flour, sugar, baking ingredients, mixes, paper products, laundry/dish detergent, cleaning products and toiletries. Expiration dates must be January 2024 or later.
