Assistant Town Manager Lance DelPriore announced in a public notice to residents that the 2025 Annual Town Meeting is set for Monday, May 5.

In accordance with the Town Charter, the meeting warrant now is open. All articles must be submitted to the Select Board and/or the Town Manager’s Office no later than Feb. 3.

Articles can be submitted via email as a shared Google Doc or a Microsoft Word document. Residents also have the option of submitting a paper version of their proposed articles by mail or in person to the Town Manager’s Office.

The Select Board already has cautioned residents about putting financial articles on this year’s warrant for Annual Town Meeting. With financial concerns ahead for Hopkinton, the board hopes to dissuade residents from adding more costs to an already stretched budget.

“We will not have the money for the ‘wants’ in 2025 or the next several years after that,” said chair Brian Herr at the Select Board meeting on Dec. 17.

“We have to look at the needs of the community and focus on that solely,” he added.

Those interested in submitting an article to the 2025 Annual Town Meeting warrant or are looking for more information can contact DelPriore via email at ldelpriore@hopkintonma.gov. A citizen’s guide for submitting articles can be found here.
