HHS girls teams off to strong postseason start
The postseason always is an exciting time, especially when your team is doing well. Such is the case with Hopkinton High School’s girls teams, which have been dominating their early tournament play. Here are the highlights from this week:
- Girls volleyball swept both its matches against Scituate and Dartmouth, advancing to the Division 2 quarterfinals.
- Field hockey advanced to the Division 2 quarterfinals after a 3-1 decision against Nashoba.
- Girls soccer posted an impressive 6-0 victory in its Division 1 tournament opener against Shrewsbury, with captain Maddie Recupero notching three goals.
There are two home games today: Volleyball will host Tri-Valley League rival Westwood at 6:30 p.m., right after soccer takes on Newton North in a second-round matchup at 4:30. Field hockey is set to play at Canton on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
