by | Jan 5, 2024 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

A van driven by an allegedly drunk Hopkinton resident crashed into houses at 75 and 77 Grove Street Thursday afternoon, according to Hopkinton Fire Department personnel and a press spokesperson.

A teenager from Westborough rolled over his Ford SUV on Wood Street on Thursday afternoon but was able to exit the vehicle on his own and was not seriously injured, according to witnesses at the scene.

In an interview after Tuesday’s Select Board meeting, Select Board chair Muriel Kramer said she has fully recovered from a stroke she experienced last month and said she has not decided whether or not to run for reelection this May.

A water main that broke Thursday morning on Maple Street was repaired by early afternoon, restoring water and traffic access, according to the Department of Public Works.

The Move in Style Athlete Spotlight this week shines on Hopkinton High School girls basketball captain Caroline Kane, who coach Mike Greco said is “as selfless as they come.”

This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is Millie, a 1-year-old “lovely dog with a gentle, sweet and entertaining personality.”
