Hopkinton Today: Friday, June 14

by | Jun 14, 2024 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The battle against invasive aquatic weeds marches on as town officials prepare to treat Lake Maspenock with herbicides next week. “We’re advising against swimming, boating, or fishing in the lake for two days once the herbicide has been applied,” said Department of Public Works Director Kerry Reed.

Leading off the Schools Notebook, several individuals and teams from Hopkinton High School achieved high placements at the Business Professionals of America national competition held last month in Chicago.

This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is 2-year-old Winnie, a “big pup” rescued from the dog meat trade in Korea who “warms up quickly with treats and is convinced she is a lap dog.”
