by | Jun 7, 2024 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The first order of business at Thursday’s School Committee meeting was to reorganize and welcome new members Chris Masters and Jamie Wronka. Nancy Cavanaugh was reelected to serve as chair, and Wronka was voted as vice chair. Member Adam Munroe again was absent from the meeting.

This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is 1-year-old Nancy, who “loves to be around people, playing with her favorite toys or snuggling up next to them.”

Residents of all ages and towns are invited to become a Dementia Friend by attending an informational program at the Hopkinton Senior Center on Wednesday, June 26, from 1-2:30 p.m.

Photo of the Day: The Starter, a statue of George Brown at the Town Common, dons a Celtics shirt Thursday, the day the NBA Finals began. George Brown’s son, Walter Brown, was the first owner and general manager of the Celtics.
