Hopkinton Today: Friday, March 31

by | Mar 31, 2023 | Featured: Features,

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

School Committee members on Thursday agreed to send a letter to legislators outlining their concern about a 14 percent increase in costs to send students to private special education schools.

Volunteers are needed for Hop Yellow Bag Day, a program to beautify the town and remove litter from the roadsides. The event is scheduled to take place this Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon, although the anticipated rainfall Saturday might push it back to Sunday.

The Project Just Because Golf Tournament will be held Monday, June 19, at Hopkinton Country Club. The event includes 18 holes of golf, continental breakfast, luncheon, silent auction and raffles, with all proceeds going to the families served by PJB.

Town meetings tonight include the Hopkinton Republican Town Committee Caucus (6:30).
