Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Two decades ago, Margie Grabmeier noticed an ad that kept popping up in a local newspaper soliciting a freshman volleyball coach at Hopkinton High School. Twenty years later, including 18 as the varsity head coach, Grabmeier will retire following Saturday’s Division 2 state championship match with more than 300 victories.
Hopkinton High School will be well represented at the collegiate athletic ranks in the years to come, with a number of Hillers already having signaled their intent to continue their sports careers at the next level.
The Hopkinton Health Department will host another pediatric Pfizer COVID vaccine clinic for children ages 5-11 today from 3-6 p.m. at Town Hall.
Photo of the Day: There still is some equipment downtown, but work on the Main Street Corridor Project is winding down for the season as the winter approaches.
