Hopkinton Today: Friday, Nov. 3

by | Nov 3, 2023 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Hundreds of students enjoyed free pizza, ice cream and video games at the Town Common on Oct. 20 as part of the town’s first Early Release Hangout. Equally important was the opportunity for students, officers and downtown merchants to connect in a relaxed setting.

After a stellar regular season, Hopkinton High School’s fall sports teams are set to begin postseason play this weekend. Field hockey and volleyball are in action Friday, while boys and girls soccer host games Sunday.

The town is holding a community input planning session on Wednesday, Nov. 15, to generate ideas on how to revitalize the downtown area and increase connectivity through its shared spaces.

This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is Dexter, an 11-year-old “social boy who loves to spend time with people and make them laugh.”
