Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.
The Hopkinton Water Department announced Thursday morning that due to a power outage, the Ashland pump that supplies Hopkinton shut off rapidly and turned back on, causing major discoloration. The Water Department also announced that there will be required fire flow tests next Tuesday, which also could lead to discoloration.
Town Manager Norman Khumalo announced that Poonam Rijhsinghani has been hired as the as the town’s new assistant town accountant.
The Hopkinton High School boys and girls cross country teams competed against Holliston on a warm Wednesday at Hopkinton State Park, and we have photos.
Hopkinton’s Sustainable Green Committee will host a Climate Action Community Drop-In Event on Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 6-9 p.m. at the Hopkinton Senior Center. Residents are invited to get information and share input about the Climate Action Plan and related initiatives.
