Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
Hopkinton High School’s fall sports teams — aside from golf, which already is off to a 3-0 start — open the season this weekend with contests against Medway. The sports will play with modified rules designed to limit contact, and only play against a “pod” of five other Tri-Valley League teams: Ashland, Holliston, Medway, Bellingham and Norton.
Town clerk Connor Degan clarified the deadlines for mail-in ballots after indicating that instructions mailed with some of the first round of ballots mistakenly have deadlines from last month’s state primary election.
St. John the Evangelist Parish, located on Church Street, is hosting an electronic recycling/bicycle collection drive tomorrow from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. For a list of accepted items and the associated fees, check the parish’s website.
