Hopkinton Today: Friday, Sept. 25

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.

Hopkinton health director Shaun McAuliffe, during an appearance on HCAM’s Hopkinton Hangout Hour on Thursday, said there are two active cases of COVID-19 in town, both individuals under the age of 23 who were not as responsible as they should have been. “Both of them likely picked it up at parties where they weren’t wearing face coverings,” McAuliffe said, adding that young adults who are returning from college are a major concern.

The latest edition of Senior Snippets has information on a variety of programs, including Our Time Memory Cafe, Stretch Class, Meditation & Movement and TED Talks.

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts is running a fundraiser during the month of September in which people purchase a mum from Weston Nurseries and a portion of the proceeds goes to the HCA. Orders must be placed through the HCA website.
