Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
The School Committee held last Thursday night’s meeting virtually due to the town’s spike in COVID-19 cases, which has led to increased absenteeism in school both from cases and parents’ fear that their children could contract the disease.
The town’s latest COVID-19 update includes information on the latest CDC recommendations as well as Hopkinton’s expanded vaccine clinic schedule.
Leading off the Hopkinton High School sports roundup, the swimming and diving teams battled Dover-Sherborn on Saturday, with both the boys and girls coming up short.
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts will host a free reception for its annual Members Art Show this Friday at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibition features a wide variety of art mediums from artists young and old.
Town meetings tonight include the Youth Commission (6), Zoning Advisory Committee (7), South Middlesex Regional Vocational Technical School Committee (7) and Elementary School Building Committee-2 (7).
Photo of the Day: Friday’s first snowstorm of 2022 closed down much of the town while leading to some picturesque views.
