by | Jan 30, 2023 | Featured: Features,

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

The Parks & Recreation Commission at its 80-minute meeting Thursday evening voted 4-0 to endorse a capital grant proposal to fund manual gates at Sandy Beach in order to increase security there.

The Veterans Breakfast is held on the first Friday of every month from 9-10 a.m. at the Hopkinton Senior Center. The next breakfast is Feb. 3. No registration is required. Tributes will be paid to comrades who have passed recently, and those who are on “sick call” will be acknowledged.

The Marathon Fund Committee will award six $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Hopkinton.

Town meetings tonight include the Board of Health (5:30), Climate Action Workgroup (5:30) and Upper Charles Trail Committee Workgroup (5:30).
