by | Jul 10, 2023 | Featured: Features,

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The School Committee on Thursday approved a designer contract with architectural firm Perkins Eastman for an addition to Hopkins School. The committee also approved a request to have Toby, a certified therapy dog, join the Marathon School community.

The Open Space Preservation Commission at its hybrid meeting Thursday night discussed several topics, including some progress on the potential for the town to purchase 60-plus acres of wooded property in the Springwood neighborhood that was slated to be clear cut for possible development.

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, the eastbound detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Grove Street/Hayden Rowe will be used Monday and Tuesday.

Town meetings tonight include the Sustainable Green Committee (6) and Woodville Historic District Commission (7).
