Following a 5-4 joint vote by the Select Board and School Committee on Thursday, Kyla McSweeney was appointed to fill the vacancy left on the School Committee when Adam Munroe resigned for personal reasons.
The Open Space Preservation Commission welcomed Interim Town Manager Elaine Lazarus to its meeting Thursday night to discuss how the relationship between the OSPC and the town can improve under her leadership as the newly appointed town manager.
The town’s Human Resources Department on Friday released the survey results from the June 20 town manager finalist meet and greet event. They mirrored the Select Board’s decision that interim Town Manager Elaine Lazarus was the strongest candidate for the job.
Hopkinton Police Department Chief Joseph Bennett shared on Friday an update on the department’s five new officers, who were hired after an extensive months-long hiring process.
As part of the Main Street Corridor Project, Eversource is nearing completion of its overhead utility line installation work, and its overhead utility line transfer work is on schedule. Crown Castle is next in line to move its overhead wires and is scheduled to be on-site beginning Monday.
Town meetings tonight include the Planning Board (7) and Cultural Council (7).
