Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
On Sunday afternoon the town’s COVID-19 dashboard indicated 26 active cases in Hopkinton, but that number is likely to rise significantly this week, health director Shaun McAuliffe said. He said while he hoped residents took the proper precautions over the holiday, “My gut is telling me that the numbers are going to blow up.”
Hopkinton Boy Scouts Troop 1 is holding its annual Christmas tree fundraiser, and it was a busy weekend as residents picked up their trees.
Town committee meetings tonight include the Board of Health (5:30), Planning Board (7) and Historical Commission (7).
Photo of the Day: A large menorah has been placed on the Town Common to commemorate Hanukkah, which starts Dec. 10.
