Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
The town announced Friday that the installation of the first electric manhole vault as part of the Main Street Corridor Project will begin Monday near the intersection of Main Street and Claflin Avenue (between 102 and 104 Main Street). The work Monday will require a lane shift to maintain two lanes of traffic. Police details will be present 24 hours a day as the work will require several days to complete.
The latest Adoptable Animal from Baypath Humane Society is Splish, a 6-month-old puppy who recently arrived from Texas with here siblings.
Hopkinton Community Partnership is hosting its annual trunk-or-treat event, called Dress Up and Drive Thru, at Faith Community Church on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 6-8:30 p.m.
The Hopkinton Women’s Club’s next monthly meeting will take place on Monday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. The guest speaker will be Kathy Mazur, owner of the local clothing store Swoon.
Town meetings tonight include the Board of Health (5:30) and Planning Board (7).
