Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
A Women’s March was held Saturday morning at the Town Common, joining similar marches across the country in support of women’s rights, human rights and social justice.
At Thursday’s School Committee meeting, superintendent Carol Cavanaugh said all six school community members who have tested positive for COVID-19 this fall contracted the virus outside the schools, indicating that the district’s efforts thus far have been successful.
The Hopkinton High School girls cross country team fell to visiting Holliston on Saturday by a score of 25-32. It marked the program’s first loss in a dual meet since September of 2013, snapping a 41-meet win streak.
Today is the last day to place an order for the Hopkinton Women’s Club’s hand-painted wooden multi-seasonal signs, a fundraiser for the organization’s scholarship fund.
Town committee meetings tonight include the Board of Health (5:30) and the Planning Board (7).
