by | Oct 3, 2022 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

During a joint meeting with the School Committee and Appropriation Committee on Thursday, the Select Board adopted a budget message with an option for a 5.1 percent capping increase.

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, the contractor will raise castings on manholes. As a result, the eastbound Main Street detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street and back to Main Street will be in effect.

Hopkinton’s annual Veterans Day ceremony will be held Friday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Senior Center, which will open one hour before the event. The annual Veterans Day dinner, sponsored by the Hopkinton Veterans Celebration Committee, also will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, at the Woodville Rod & Gun Club.

Town meetings tonight include the Board of Health (5:30), Sustainable Green Committee (6) and Woodville Historic District Commission (7).
