The School Committee spent much of Thursday’s meeting discussing the fiscal year 2026 budget process as well as reviewing the district’s finance report.

The Open Space Preservation Commission at its meeting Thursday night noted progress made at the Whitehall Conservation Area on several fronts, particularly its long-term effort to curb knotweed there.

The town’s latest Main Street Corridor Project update released Friday noted that brick strip installation by A.F. Amorello & Sons, the project’s construction company, will continue during the upcoming week.

The annual Michael’s Run 5K to benefit the Michael Lisnow Respite Center, will be held Saturday, Oct. 12. The race starts at 10 a.m. at the Town Common.

Town meetings tonight include the Board of Health (5:30) and the Zoning Advisory Committee (7).
