Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

Doris Early is the new president of the Hopkinton Women’s Club, the oldest nonprofit organization in town. The group is widely known for its philanthropic work, raising funds for scholarships and other nonprofits in town, and currently is focused a charity golf tournament being held on Sept. 26 to help the Hopkinton Emergency Fund.

The Senior Center’s annual Ice Cream Social is today from 1-3 p.m. This year’s event will feature a classical Indian dance performance by Hopkinton rising seventh-grader Harini Jeyaraman.

Town meetings tonight include the Elementary School Building Committee (6).
