Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
The Conservation Commission on Tuesday night approved a request for reconsideration for the final lot of the Chamberlain Street-Whelan Road project. The commission also had a dispute with the developer of the project off Leonard Street, who objected to paying for an environmental consultant to monitor the site more frequently after flooding issues.
This week’s edition of the Police Log includes three arrests along with reports of neighbors engaged in a loud dispute, a tree falling on a car with a baby in it, cyclists on a midnight ride down the middle of Main Street, and damage from the recent extreme weather.
The 13th annual Hopkinton Tennis Tournament will be held Sept. 10-12 at the Hopkinton High School courts for residents 18 and older. There are divisions for men’s and women’s intermediate and advanced singles, doubles and mixed doubles (which can include one out-of-town guest).
