As Hopkinton’s new director of the Department of Public Works, Kerry Reed brings 20-plus years of experience in environmental engineering and municipal government to the town where she has lived for more than a decade.
The Conservation Commission at its three-hour in-person meeting Tuesday night noted that while erosion control improvements recently were made on the fourth phase of The Trails, continuing sedimentation overflow issues prompted the commission to consider levying additional fines against the project.
This week’s Police Log includes one arrest along with reports of food-related vandalism at a house, a found bag full of money, and a Snapchat blackmail threat.
The Marathon Quilters Guild’s biennial Quilt Show will be held Sept. 16-17 at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts.
