Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Leading off the latest edition of Business Briefs, Scott Richardson, president of Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects, received the inaugural Founder’s Philanthropy Award from the Hopkinton Center for the Arts at the HCA Founder’s Celebration held earlier this fall.
The Hopkinton Trail Coordination and Management Committee (TCMC) and the Hopkinton Trails Club have created a monthly trail volunteer day on the first Saturday of each month. The second monthly trail volunteer day is set for this Saturday at Center Trail. Participants will clean up the parking area as well as haul lumber and construct boardwalks on the Welzel Trail to address a wet area.
The Hopkinton Lions Club will host the seventh annual Santa’s Meet & Greet for children with special or mental health needs and their families/caregivers on Sunday, Dec. 5, from 2-4 p.m. The free event includes a visit and professional photo with Santa, along with refreshments.
Town meetings tonight include the Lake Maspenock Weed Management and Control Advisory Group (5), School Committee (7) and Open Space Preservation Commission (7).
Photo of the Day: The boats at Hopkinton State Park are stacked up and tucked away for the season, making for a colorful scene.
