Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

The Hopkinton High School winter athletics season got off to a fast start over the past week — led by boys track and wrestling — although many of the teams had to take a pause due to the COVID-19 surge.

State Senate President Karen Spilka, an Ashland Democrat who also represents Hopkinton, confirmed that she had a “mild stroke” in November but said she still plans to run for reelection in 2022.

Hopkinton Director of Information Technology Josh Grossetti recently announced the launch of a new language translation tool on the town’s website. Translations are offered in more than 80 languages.
